However, since Taormina is an ideal venue there are plenty of other options available and participants are free to make directly hotel bookings at the hotel of their choice. Room rates in Taormina range between 100 and 600 EURO per night and per person.
The Science of Consciousness 2023 will be held at the Congress Center Taormina (Palazzo dei
congressi), in a key location at the core of the historical center of Taormina at a walking distance
from the world renown Greek Theater of Taormina (Third century BC), which is the most fascinating
historical monument of the “pearl of the Ionian Sea”. Wolfgang Goethe in his famous “Journey
to Italy” wrote: “No theater audience has ever had such a sight in front.” Carved directly into the
hard rock of Mount Taurus in the 3rd century BC, it was capable of accommodating thousands of seated
spectators.
It is fascinating to bring philosophy and science back to where it all started, at Plato’s time and
places.
Taormina is a gem in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Its unique combination of historical
beauty, sea, beaches, the imposing presence of one of the most active volcanoes in Europe (mount
Etna, 3357 mt) provides the town with a unique atmosphere and vibrant vibe.

Please bring your presentation as a ppt. or pptx. file (screen format 16:9) on a USB memory stick. Presentation laptops will be provided in the session halls. Please note, a presentation with your own laptop is not possible. Make sure you deliver your presentation to your assigned session room at least 2 hours before the session starts.

We have arranged for a local printer to support delegates with poster printing and delivery to the venue, optional and paid service. Please liaise directly with them if you wish to use their services, sending the poster complete pdf file with your name and poster details.

Poster presenters are requested to set up their printed poster in the appropriate exhibitors (double sided boards ) on the assigned day. Team of volunteers will be available to help you set up your poster in the correct location.
There will be time allocated to stand by the posters when participants are free to pass by and inquire on a one-to-one basis.
Poster sessions will be held Wednesday, May 24 (Poster Session 1) and Friday, May 26 (Poster Session 2) from 11:15 to 12:30.
Presenters are responsible for setting up and removing their poster by the required time.

Presenters must be available with their posters during their scheduled session to discuss their research with interested viewers. The Poster Sessions are a great showcase forum to inform colleagues, researchers, members of the press and other interested parties of your basic and clinical research projects. We encourage posters from: undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, post docs, authors, medical residents, fellows and professors, artists, designers, authors, and other professionals.
Poster should be printed on paper, the Conference Organization will supply double-sided tape to set up posters on the boards.
